What Is Dry Eye Syndrome?

Dry eye syndrome is a chronic condition where your eyes do not produce enough quality tears or the tears evaporate too quickly. This can cause irritation, burning, redness, blurred vision, and difficulty wearing contact lenses.

It is often caused by meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD), aging, medications, environmental factors, screen use, and certain health conditions.
